Interest Groups

Be sure to check the GSSWI Home Page for any late-breaking changes in meeting times or places!

GSSWI has created several Interest Groups in which members can share questions, answers, and resources in smaller groups of members.  Groups are currently defined in these areas:

German Interest Group

The German Group meets intermittently depending upon demand.  If interested, please check with Dave Flomerfelt whose contact information is below.

Legacy Family Tree Software for the PC Interest Group

The Legacy Group meets the third Saturday of each month from 2 - 4:00 pm at  Trinity Church. It is for anyone using a PC and Legacy genealogical software. There are periodic sessions only for beginners.

Note that the Legacy User Group has rescheduled their October 17th meeting so that members may be able to attend the Thomas Jones Seminar hosted by Seattle Genealogical Society on that date

The rescheduled October 2015 Legacy Group meeting will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grigware Hall on Wed evening, Oct 21st from 6-8 pm.

DNA Focus Group

The DNA Group meets the second Saturday of each month from 10 am - 12:00 pm at Fire Station #53, 1164 Race Road, Coupeville. To join the group, you must have submitted, or be in the process of submitting, a DNA test.

New England/ New York Interest Group

The NE/NY group meets the 4th Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Freeland Library. Group interest includes the genealogical areas of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York.
